This violin is
extremely beautiful
as you can see from the photos. This violin is, by far, one of the best sounding violins I’ve seen. It has a characteristic Guarneri del Gesu tone. The tone is very well-balanced, powerful, rich, clear, deep and has incredible projection. In my opinion, this beautiful instrument is a concert violin. The fittings (tailpiece, endpin, pegs & chinrest) appear to be rosewood or some type of boxwood but I am not certain. Please review the photos to see what kind of wood that you think the fittings are.Upon close inspection, this beautiful violin appears to have no cracks, no damage and no repair. Please refer to the photos. The two piece back is incredible and among the finest I have seen! The wood thicknesses (graduation) have been checked and this beauty has been properly graduated which is why the tone is extremely good! We are uncertain of this violin’s maker or origin but it was obviously hand crafted by a world class maker who used the finest tone wood!
There is no bow included. This violin will be well-packed with the bridge taken down for safety. Though unlikely, the sound post may fall during shipping but I can be easily reset by a qualified person. Please ask questions before you bid because this is a final & “as is” sale.
