Description
Antique opaque blue milk glass bowl with 4 feet, decorative scrolled edge and embossed scrolls around the outside. This beautiful piece was made by Dithridge Company some time between 1862 and 1900. The slag is quite light on this bowl. A very small amount is seen on the bottom. No maker's mark. The condition is very good. No chips, chiggers, or cracks. There is a scratch in the inside bottom not even a fingernail deep, looks like from use.
Some manufactured roughness at the rim edge and bottom edge and minor straw marks. All seen in antique glassware. It looks like this bowl may have been cold painted with black and gold when new but it has long since worn off. There are some faint gold and black specks still seen. Measures 3" tall x 7" in diameter. Weight 1 lb. 14 oz. See all photos for details of condition and as part of the description. This item will be carefully packaged for shipping. Thank you for your consideration.
