    Description

    Stradivarius labeled wood violin. Right up front, I realize the odds of this piece being an authentic Stradivarius are extremely slim and I am identifying the violin as a Strad based entirely on the paper label inside. The interior label reads "Antonius Stradivarius Cremonenfis Faciebat Anno 1718" followed by the "AS" inside a double circle. Overall length is approximately 23.5" and 8.2" at its widest point. Strings are completely gone, but the wood is actually in rather strong condition. The violin is pictured in "as found" condition as it has not been cleaned even a little bit - fearful to do so. The case is complete with the lid, but the lid is no longer attached to the underside. The case is made of wood. Any questions or additional photos, do not hesitate to contact me.
