    Description

Offered is ONE 6" long x .375" diameter "Patent Pending" Grade 5 Titanium (6AL-4V Tempered Alloy), Easy-Carry, Compact, Ergonomic Firm Grip, Kubotan sized Yawara Stick.
(also useful as a portable Door Knocker or Pill Crusher to crush and mix your medications into a liquid, for less stomach upset &/or faster absorption to ease that headache a little faster!  I use a bottle cap to crush the powder into. Some "Acupressure" procedures are also possible uses for this stick :-)
These are designed, hand made, and assembled in the USA by: Ti Rod Tactical™ , and have the same "Fist Lock"™  firm grip design as my heavier Titanium compact Yawara Sticks listed elsewhere. (either made in .4375", .44", .50", or .685" diameter rod, depending on Titanium availability at a price I can justify)
Tempered Grade 5 Titanium is much stronger and harder than wooden, aluminum, or polymer made sticks, ....and won't rust either as Titanium is inert to the elements. Minor scratches are easily removed with a simple "Scotch-Brite" scrub pad that most of you already use in the kitchen. A truly affordable and practical modern tool in the dicipline of "Yawarajutsu".
Recognizing not everyone may have .00 or more available for one of my thicker/heavier self defense sticks, I have produced THIS version to be the
    most cost effective
way to give you an opportunity to try one of my designs and get it into YOUR pocket. (and not take much OUT of your pocket in return!  A "Win-Win", as they say...... :-)
To that end,....I bought a HUGE quantity ( @ ,400.00 ) of .375" diameter grade 5 Titanium rod, in order to get a substantial discount on the material to even make it possible at this Super LOW price!
I finish the ends with a simple slight bevel, and leave the central band saw remnants to act as a "DNA Collector" to help ID someone when needed.
I also invested in a quality older horizontal band saw, .....gave it a much needed gearbox service, blade guide bearings replacement, and added a top notch Starrett Intenss Pro-Die Band Saw Blade, ........so that NOW the cutting and end clean up times are drastically reduced!
And finally, ......after making literally thousands
of these up, .....I have gotten MY technique down rather well to save YOU labor time costs! (and get ME near "Minimum Wage" considering materials and time spent! :-)
ALL decisions were made to make these easily affordable to everyone, because having one available may just save your or a loved one's life!
SO,....Imagine a HAND MADE in the USA, Top Grade 5 Titanium (6AL-4V alloy) Compact for just .95! (plus shipping)
    Imagine no more......... :-)
I've also KEPT that Low Introductory Price now for over 6 Years! ( "Inflation" be damned! )
At this price point you might even consider buying extras as "Stocking Stuffers", or simply to give to friends you care about, or maybe carry a backup in your car within easy reach as I do.
I actually carry TWO of these in each vehicle, one in the driver's door cup holder, and one on the center console available to either driver or passenger. They are within easy reach to repel any "reach in" attack should your windows be down in mild weather and you're stopped at a light.
    NOTE:
The last photo shows the "top" stick being offered here, but I included an example of my heavier .4375" diameter stick (bottom stick) to give you an idea of the diameter differences between the two. Only the top stick is part of this offering.
The Titanium rod used for this is .375" in diameter, and is much stronger than traditional wooden or aluminum defensive sticks, and impervious to the elements so it won't rust or corrode. A random sample weighs in at just 2.01 ounces,....so it carries comfortably and goes unnoticed in a pocket with it's low profile. By the way,...a random sample of my heavier .4375" stick weighed in at 2.45 ounces by comparison.
A secure grip is something that has often been lacking with the also the compact traditional Kubotan style sticks, as they most always seem a bit slippery to me.  I've also never liked the multiple deep cutaway finger grooves often seen in an attempt to add some security to the grip.
Kubotan sticks are already rather thin, so to cut material away in an attempt to add "grip" is going in the wrong direction. I think what I present here is much better, and initial testing bear that out.  I've also not been a fan of the permanently attached jumble of keys should you ever need to deploy the stick defensively!
So,.....I offer instead a basic Yawara / Kubotan stick shape, but having a VERY comfortable and secure grip with a high coefficient of friction "raised" reinforced rubber central area, that is optimized to the user's hand like no other!
The innovative raised central reinforced rubber grip nestles rather nicely into the small "pocket" created where the fingers meet the hand when it is cupped!  The use of this grip design also "mechanically locks" the stick between the first and pinky fingers within a closed fist,....with the middle and ring fingers contributing substantial additional gripping forces.
I have chosen the name "Fist-Lock

    "
to describe these very worthwhile and effective attributes!
I've found the 6" length fits most folks well and still keep within a "compact" size range, .....and with the central reinforced rubber section that allows a firm and comfortable grip for the "average" sized hand. For point of reference in the photos shown above, my own hand measures 3-3/4" across at the widest part and 3-1/4" across at the base of the fingers, .....and is about average I'd think.
The central grip "ends up" about 1-13/16" in length once installed. It's so tight going on that it actually compresses about 1/4 of an inch in length! :-)   This gives a solid "locked in" GRIP with a great ergonomic "feel" in hand, and in a
    very
compact size for ease and comfort in pocket carry!
However, if your hand is exceptionally small, let me know and I can optimize the grip length that will lock the stick within your closed fist and give an ergonomic fit and feel that simply feels great!  Hopefully you'll want to get more training time in,.....and that's always beneficial. :-)
The reason for this grip length is simple,.........
As part of the overall ergonomic design, when the central grip length is about 1-13/16" in length (generally a little wider than the combined width of the middle and ring fingers at the base for most folks), .....this will allow the user to effectively "lock"  the stick into their closed fist (aka "Fist Lock"™ ), .....with about an inch or so of stick exiting the fist on each end as shown in the next to last photo.
With the inside edge of the first finger wrapped around the rod and butted up against the comfortably tapered top edge of the grip, ....and the inside edge of the forth (pinky) finger wrapped around and butted up against the similarly tapered lower edge of the grip,......the stick is effectively LOCKED in place between both ends of the raised rubber grip within the closed fist! (as shown in photos 2-8)
It's tough to describe how solid and comfortable this feels in several easily switchable strike positions,.....but I wouldn't have invested so much time and money into this were it not a significant improvement in the "art" of  Yawara and Kubotan sticks.
I have been working on this style for some time now, (along with several other defensive stick designs offered in my other listings :-),.... and had filed for a US Utility Patent covering the various modes of carriage and methods of construction.
I would not have invested "five $ figures" for completing a rather lengthy Patent Filing had I not believed,
(in the world we live in today!)
    .....that EVERYONE should be carrying
    at least one
defensive stick device, if not more!  That does not include an also substantial outlay for material and tool costs used to produce them.
I have found that for most folks, these sticks when sized in the 6" total length work out well, and are virtually invisible when pocket carried.  When used defensively, the body's natural reaction is to make an even tighter fist, which serves very well here to "lock" the stick into the fist.
Also, for lots of reasons it makes sense to consider carrying multiple sticks at various locations upon your person, which is what I most often do. You never know when a single stick might be unreachable should you be wrapped up in a particular way without warning, and having various stick types available will help to counter that possibility.
To that end,.....I am offering (in separate listings), various lengths and thicknesses of this same great Titanium alloy, ...some with a variety of carriage systems.  Please check back often on my other listings.
I make these up in small batches of 10-20 pieces, and they are time consuming, and abrasive materials "eating", so the pricing is where it needs to be.  All the more so when the substantial Patent Filing and Legal representation costs are considered,....
    Thanks for your consideration.
ALSO,....PLEASE make sure Yawara and Kubotan style sticks are legal to carry in your Country, State, City, or Town
    before
purchasing. Some areas may have restrictions on such things, and I cannot possibly know about every specific law in every area of the world. :-)  Your purchase confirms you have complied with your local laws. Thank You.
    (
    ALSO,
another reason to be carrying this daily is it works very well as a "Pill Crusher" for those of you desiring your medications to be crushed and mixed into water or another liquid. This is known to lessen stomach upsets and other common side effects of taking medications.  I use a small bottle cap as a "mortar" to contain the pill powder created as you use this stick as a "pestle" to grind up the pills, and transfer the powder to the liquid of your choosing for consumption.
