Vintage WATT POTTERY Apple Salad-vegetable Bowl Design #73,2 apples 8.5" 1952
    FARMHOUSE -- COUNTRY LOOK
Measures inside 8.5" diameter,  approx 4" tall.
This is a great Farmhouse look. I used for Salads, vegetables, mashed potatoes, chips, etc.
    Great crockery look!
There is a visible flaw which you can see in the first picture. As I am very familiar with ceramic and clay items it is a flaw in the clay mold and glazing is intact. Safe for food. I would not use in microwave or dishwasher.
Some interesting history from the Watt Potter history website:
The Watt Pottery started in 1922 was operated by the Watt family of Perry County Ohio. The pottery was started on the site of the old Burley Pottery factory in Crooksville Ohio. The watt Pottery remained in business from 1922 to 1965.
In 1949, the Watt Pottery began hand decorating its wares. The patterns are simple in nature, with as few brush strokes as possible to allow low production costs. The pieces were decorated by teams of three decorators. The bright colors against the deep cream clay give Watt Pottery its unique country appeal.
